your website needs to be hosted
Step two is to buy some webspace, it's where your website
will live on the internet.
By far the easiest thing to do is to continue to buy webspace
from the same company that you are buying your domain name.
So, you have the name in your shopping basket from step
one. And if you are having a small number of pages, all
you need, to get you started, is buy the cheapest hosting
package with the least number of add ons:
1GB
Under £30 a year - (this is the best option for
a start up package)
25GB
Under £60 a year - (you can always upgrade if you
ever need to)
Unlimited
web space Under £85 a year - (for huge websites)
Don't forget your domain E-mail address will come as standard
when you buy the hosting package. At this stage you can
add WHOIS Privacy for less than a fiver, (but only on .com,
.net, .org, .info, .co, .me, .mobi, .tel, .tv, .cc and .biz)
Next choose either a Windows or Linux server, there's no
percieved difference by the end user but I would go for
Linux if it's cheaper.
Now purchase the name and hosing space click the green
arrow button "OK Next Step."
At some stage you will need to add all your personal details
and create an account for yourself with login name and a
password to access your account with the hosting company.
This will be confirmed to you in an E-mail so keep it safe
somewhere as you will very probably need it in the future.
